LONDON, May 3 (Xinhua) -- Arsenal went six points clear of Manchester City on Saturday with a 3-0 win at home to Fulham.

Two goals from Viktor Gyokeres and one from Bukayo Saka sealed the win by halftime for a team that has a Champions League semifinal return leg at home to Atletico Madrid on Tuesday night.

Mikel Arteta rotated his lineup after the 1-1 draw in Madrid and will have been especially encouraged by Saka's sharp display on his return.

City, who has two games in hand, must win both, starting with a difficult trip to Everton on Monday, to keep the title race in its hands.

At the bottom, Tottenham can climb out of the relegation zone on Sunday if its wins away to Aston Villa after West Ham was beaten 3-0 at Brentford. An own goal from Konstantinos Mavropanos and goals from Igor Thiago and Mikkel Damsgaard took Brentford up to sixth.

Newcastle United ended a difficult run with a 3-1 win at home to Brighton with goals from William Osula, Dan Burn and Harvey Barnes, with Jack Hinshelwood scoring a consolation for Brighton.

Wolverhampton Wanderers and Sunderland drew 1-1 a game with nothing at stake. Relegated Wolves took a point through Santiago Bueno after Nordi Mukiele's opener, with Sunderland down to 10 men following Dan Ballard's 24th-minute red card.

On Friday, Leeds United all but secured safety by reaching 43 points in a 3-1 home win over Burnley. Anton Stach, Noah Okafor and Dominic Calvert-Lewin put Leeds 3-0 up against the already-relegated visitors, who dismissed coach Scott Parker earlier in the week, before Loum Tchaouna grabbed a consolation. ■
